Spring Equinox - Regular Meeting

Spring is upon us. As the gentle warmth of spring begins to awaken the world from its winter slumber, we gather once again in the sacred halls of our Masonic Lodge to celebrate the dawning of a new season and the profound symbolism it holds for us.

The equinox, with its perfect balance of day and night, serves as a powerful reminder of the importance of harmony and equilibrium in our lives. It beckons us to seek balance in our thoughts, actions, and relationships, and to align ourselves with the divine order of the universe.

We are also delighted to be passing Bro. Chris Bird to the Fellowcraft degree.

Our featured Agape Speaker is W. Bro. Fraser Duff, he will be presenting a paper entitled "The Moon in Masonic Symbolism – Travel Aid or Something More."

The menu is as follows:

Course One
Cabbage Rolls

Cabbage, Ground Beef, Rice, Onion
Tomato Sauce

Course Two

Regular Meeting - Spring Equinox

Our lodge meets on or close to the solstices and equinoxes in March, June, September and December with one extra meeting for our annual leadership changeover in January with our installation and investiture.  These dates are fixed and occur year after year; they bring with them feelings of birth, re-commitment, of hope and even a reminder of death.

Brethren, over the past few years we have certainly each experienced our own versions of darkness for a variety of reasons. However out of darkness we are taught comes light.  Our March meeting will shine a new light within our lodge.  We look forward to the initiation of a new brother into our craft, a positive sign of growth and brighter days to come for our beloved lodge.

I hope this short message renews a spark within you to come out and experience the light,  Fraternally, Jeffrey Gatcke, Worshipful Master

Our guest speaker at the Agape will be R.W. Bro. Art Di Cecco, Member of the Board of General Purposes of the Grand Lodge of Canada in the Province of Ontario

*CANCELLED* Ceremony of Installation & Investiture

A Message from our Worshipful Master:

“Brethren, I am seeing increased notices and travel alerts this morning for tomorrow. I’m afraid that with something now approaching 30cm of snow forecasted through the afternoon and evening tomorrow and winds over 50km/h, that travel conditions in those circumstances are well beyond the treshhold of risk than I am willing to ask of our members, guest speaker, and visitors. I am therefore, regrettably cancelling the meeting for tomorrow and I wish you all a safe and happy weekend.”

-V.W. Bro. Graeme McDonald, Worshipful Master, Templum Fidelis Lodge
