January 20th Preview

With the new year, Templum Fidelis renews its commitment to Masonic Observance with the Installation and Investiture of a new Master and slate of officers. The Ceremony of Installation and Investiture will take place at the meeting on January 20th to formally mark the handing over of the gavel and we thank Worshipful Brother David Wright for his leadership and commitment through this past year. As is our custom, the outgoing Worshipful Master will be presenting the in-Lodge paper and we will also of course enjoy selections of music from our outgoing and incoming Organist.

Our guest speaker at the agape will be Brother Chris Coome from Rideau Minden Lodge who has located to Kingston for the purpose of studying Masonic History towards the completion of his PhD at Queen’s University. The subject of his presentation will be “A presentation on the Knights Templar and Freemasonry: Exploring the original order, possible avenues of Masonic association, and the chivalric pedigree of the Masonic Templars.

The menu for the agape is:
App:  green salad with dried cherries, aged cheddar, pecans and a light dijon dressing

Main:  baked Atlantic cod with soft herb garlic butter, green pea asiago risotto cake, wilted spinach

Dessert:  vanilla pot de creme, with rum caramel on the bottom

As always, substitutions can be made on dishes. Please contact Brother Events Co-ordinator by January 17th to confirm your attendance. We look forward to the year ahead and to welcoming you to Templum Fidelis Lodge.
