June 19th, 2010 meeting preview
Our upcoming Lodge meeting marking the summer solstice promises to be a great evening with enlightening papers, a lavish banquet and a warm fraternal atmosphere, both figuratively and literally. The in-Lodge paper will be delivered by Brother Mark Elkins in preparation for his second degree and this will be book ended in customary fashion with Masonic-related music.
The paper during the agape will be presented by the Grand Archivist, Very Worshipful Brother Daniel J Glenney and is on aspects of the role of Freemasonry in the war of 1812.
The menu once again has been designed by our friends at Aqua Terra:
Starter: Local greens, fresh strawberries, spicy roasted pumpkin seeds, chives with a ginger yogurt dressing.
Entrée Option One: Wild leek, Smoked Duck, Buffalo Terrine, Ancho Chili Compote. Served with a cold potato salad with wild leek pesto and apple.
or
Entrée Option Two: Albacore Tuna lightly seared with a soy, ginger, roasted garlic, coriander and basil with a mango chutney. Served with cold rice noodle salad
*Both served with Asparagus.
Dessert: Coconut Cream Pie with Coffee, Tea, Herbal Teas
